I once saw this sentence on the Internet : I treat the janitor with the same way as I treat the CEO.
This sentence is very meaningful to me because there are just a lot of people out there , people surrounding me who just do not understand the importance of doing so and that character is more important than status and the amount of money someone has and the amount of expensive materialistic goods someone owns.
A good way to know what a person's character is , is to have a meal with him or her. The way they treat the waiter or waitress especially when the waiter or waitress made mistakes like accidentally spilling the food or accidentally took the wrong order or maybe even when the food takes too long to arrive, their reaction to these types of situation can sometimes reveal what they are on the inside .
The importance of a good character
Good character can change the world
When human treat each other nicely, we feel good , endorphins increases which will cause us to feel happy that we will be more friendly and nice to others and our loved ones. This is because a person's mood can affect the others and this is a chain reaction. I believe just one person , can make the difference. Slowly times passes by and when more people realize this , we can make an impact to the world.
Nobody deserves that
Nobody in this world owes you anything, just because your boss treats you badly doesn't mean you can or you are supposed to treat others badly. Yes, I'm talking about bosses out there. A company will be great and successful depending on the whole team The top managers and board of directors are who people in the organisation look up to and follow. I love companies and organisations who are led by a leader not a boss because a leader leads the whole team to achieve a goal whereas a boss commands his employees to get the job done. Can you see the difference? Just because of the head's role, character and perspective, it can greatly impact all the employees' mood and then the chain reaction happens again.
Everyone in this world is connected or related to everyone else
I believe that this statement is true because I can be related to your uncle's sister's son's friend's cousin. Hahaha I know, that's like WOW.
What I'm trying to bring out is that everyone is related and that everyone has their own things that they are stressed about, things to figure out because THAT IS LIFE, life would be boring if everything stays the same and everything goes smoothly all the time.
So I dare you to take up the challenge to be nice to the people around you, to treat the janitors, waiters and waitresses the way you treat someone you respect and love, build a character that leaves a good impression to people. BUILD BRIDGES, NOT WALLS.
I hope that you'll enjoy reading this, so share it if you think this is what someone needs to understand and what they can relate to.
